When it comes to R&B, Ginuwine is one of only a handful of artists that represent the total package. Singing, songwriting, dancing, and just plain driving the ladies crazy, the DC native does it all, and does it well.
On his third album, THE LIFE, Ginuwine returns with yet another dose of bump and grind music. "There it Is (Shit 4 Nothin')," the album's leadoff single, finds the sexy singer answering to a jealous girlfriend. The song is a likely anthem for any male who is tired of his possessive woman. Songs like "2way" and "The Show After the Show" have a futuristic tinge, with their contemporary concepts and ultramodern beats. THE LIFE reunites Ginuwine with producer Timbaland, but also allows the singer an opportunity to work with Raphael Saadiq and others. Influenced by both Michael Jackson and Prince, Ginuwine puts entertainment back into R&B music.
