The third studio long-player from the punishing, Bethesda, Maryland-based djent specialists, Juggernaut: Alpha is part one of a double album issued in 2015 via Sumerian Records. The ten-track set, which features the rousing, hook-laden single "Heavy Heart" and the progressive-minded title track, finds the group exploring sonic vistas that reside outside of the increasingly fragmented world of 21st century metal, incorporating elements of groove, blues, pop, and punk metal into the mix, but always maintaining a core of pure muscularity. ~ James Christopher Monger
