Snootie Wild GO MODE
Snootie Wild GO MODE

Like Chief Keef's "Sosa" or Rich Home Quan's "Type of Way," Snootie Wild's hit single "Yayo" is a stumbling wonder, stoned on dank blunts and radio-worthy hooks with silly punchlines acting as the icing on the cake. Making it all the more fun is the MC's occasional fake Jamaican accent, plus Go Mode becomes a debut EP worth checking when "Made Me" lands like a worthy follow-up with the same heady buzz, but the opening "Here I Go" with Starlito is as serene and dreamy as anything on a B.o.B. album, acting like a Def Poetry Jam clip recorded at the beginning of a porno tape. A very good porno tape, actually, as the great "No Kissing" states the MC's case because he don't know where that mouth has been, so consider "Here I Go" a misplaced copy of Esquire stuck in a bag of Penthouse and Hustlers, because Snootie goes big when he goes dirty, at least here. ~ David Jeffries
